Weatherly was named the
Ohio Valley Conference’s
Newcomer of the Week for
a record matching ninth
time. Weatherly matches
the record of nine
newcomer of the
week awards last set by
Southeast Missouri’s
Tatiana Conceicao during
the 2004-05 season.
She helped lead the
Skyhawks to an upset
victory versus OVC
leader Eastern Illinois.
During that contest
Weatherly played 39
minutes and scored 10
points, which included a
couple of three
pointers. She filled up
the stat sheet with
five steals and five
assists as well.
She averaged 12 points
and 5.5 rebounds for UTM
who finished 2-0 on the
week.
This is the third
consecutive week
Weatherly has walked
away with the award.
